This week I went to Motor studios in SF during a mixing/editing/recording session. I was there about 10 hours. I didn't really do much other than help break down some drum mics but it was a good experience to hang out and see how things are run over there. They were basically just working on some final touch ups for this album the band, "Luna Symphonia" was getting ready for mastering. It was good to see the overall workflow. It was just my mentor, Zack and one of the band members working on mostly tones and small editing procedures such as fixing something off time or off ptich. They seemed to work pretty fast and didn't get stuck on anything for too long. I guess it is smart to not waste too much time on one thing when you are on a time limit. They also recorded some vocals. There was a couple parts they didn't have written yet so they just let the singer sort of experiement with stuff until they found something that fit. Overall they got a lot done. -Brett Robinson
