After reading this chapter and my session with Zach, I learned how EQ can make your mix amazing but also ruin it if you don't know what you're doing. I have started to lean to the side of cutting rather than boosting frequencies for the most part with regards to a spectrum balance. However, boosting is still a valauable technique to achieve certain kinds of tonal aesthetics. I did not know that EQ has the potential to create phase shifts and I am now more aware of what is going on if I'm doing aggressive cuts or boosts.
