During this particular session, Zach took me into the dense world of plugins and the many different variations of tools and brands in the market. I was astounded at the amount of plugins that Zach had collected over the years and I started to look at my own small collection with some concern. However, Zach reassured me that all these plugins are just tools. He told me it's not necessarily the tools themselves but instead the engineer using the tools that make all the difference at mixdown. He shared with me his personal favorite plugins that he would use on most mixes and I was able to see how he would use them in a mix setting. I also was able to pick which ones I would want to purchase for myself in the future by testing them out myself.
