Today was basically another day of review at the studio. I arrived fairly later than usual on account of the Seahawks game going on in Seattle at the same time as my commute. But a lot of my lesson was spent watching the game with the lesson being addressed during commercial breaks and halftime. The lesson was mainly review of concepts we have been touching over the past few weeks, like miking of drums. Through asking me questions it was determined by both me and Mark that my microphone knowledge could be a little more extensive and in-depth. So for next week, I am going to prepare flash cards for myself that have microphone use, diaphragm size, and any other noteworthy feature on them. On top of that, Mark suggested that I throw together a realistic wish list of some of the things I need to be able to start my own in-home studio (and why I chose those things). Jason also linked me up with a lot of useful audio engineering community forums across the Internet. Winding down towards my final few weeks, I am slightly overwhelmed with how fast everything is picking up, but I'm really liking how much information I'm retaining.
