Today was a straight question and review day at the studio. Mark told me last week that I should study up a little more on microphones and their studio applications, so I did just that. We spent some of the lesson going over the basic anatomy of a microphone and I learned the function of tubes in amps + microphones. We also went over the studio applications of mics that I missed when I was making microphone flash cards. After spending as much time as I did on it, I feel a lot more confident about my knowledge with mics. Mark also persuaded me to take my enthusiasm down a notch from wanting to build a plate reverb to instead making a tank reverb. This week, I'm calling the Seattle Drum School's branch in Grorgetown and seeing if I can get an internship helping out with their live sound gigs.
