This week is the 10th week of my educaiton in the Audio Engineering Program and 10th week at 3 Pt. Studios, marking the halfway point for the basics program. This week I met Pro Tools with some frustration to its new shortcuts and workflow, as my experience is with Live 9 and Logic Pro. What shortcuts I have internalized for the other two programs make these new shortcuts for ProTools seem less intuitive simply because I have a biased frame of reference.

That being said, it gets easier every time I use the program and encountering problems forces me to internalize the solution and associated keyboard shortcuts! And finally, FINALLY, there is a practical assignment given to us by the curriculum with the 1kHz Wave Assignment. I hope for future students' sakes that the Recording Connection updates the E-book to include more assignments. Every book I have purchased to accompany my education in music includes some listening examples and ear training at the very least.

PRODUCTION UPDATE: I am closer to finishing one of my tracks for the EP I have been working on over the last year, with the help of some talented musicians in Portland Oregon I will have a vocal accompaniment to round out my instrumentation. 

I expect the mixing for the independent film 'Stand'- written and directed by Adam Rose-Levy - to be finished by the end of today and shall begin the sound design immediately.
