In this lesson I learned a bit of history about Pro Tools. Pro Tools which was originally called Sound Tools was created in 1991 by Digidesign, a digital audio technology company that has been around since 1984. Digidesign became a branch of Avid in 1995. Together these two companies has made Pro Tools what it is today. Through out the years, Avid has been awarded a Grammy, Emmy, and an Oscar.
