Session 16, chapter 16 was MIDI. I took a MIDI class at Webster University and did excellently. Since I have a background in piano, MIDI was basically just that, playing a piano that gets recorded directly into the DAW. The DAW that I used in class was Digital Performer. It helped train me for Pro Tools. My mentor and I went over the MIDI parameters that are in the studio, and we even worked on the MIDI assignment, since I didn't have the features on my Pro Tools. It should have come with Structure, Boom and Xpand, but I did not have it, so Terence decided we'd do the assignment right there in the studio, since it had everything. Thanks Terence! Since Tom's departure due to illness, I couldn't have asked for a better mentor.
