For my first blog post just want to let you guys know i have no music experience other than listening to EDM and a wide range of music for quite some time. I work in corporate healthcare and have decided to learn the expertise of creating electronic dance music and hip hop. Ill also be gathering expertise on mixing and mastering. Along with a steady diet of real information on how to actually be sucessful in music business from extremely experienced and sucessful producers. Eventually i'll learn to DJ as well. My goal is to be able to produce EDM and Hip hop tracks and perform live sets if that eventually becomes an option. 

I'm starting with an asus laptop and have no gear. A few days ago  i bought the ableton suite 9 along with the push controller. Hooking it up with the educational discount as well. In a few days i'll buy a mac to run it on. More to come on that. I also did some research on stand up studio desks. 

Thursday night i went to the Zeds Dead show with a friend. Late nights and early mornings. 

Just completed the first quiz and chapter 1. Doing chapter 2 today also. I've met with my mentor Ric Webb a few times and he is super knowledgeable. We vibe pretty well and hes got a great gift plus a ton of experience. We talked about music business and a new program hes starting related to that. I gave him a copy of Yiro Dreams of sushi because his approach to music reminds me of Yiros approach to sushi. 

I'll be keeping you updated on how the studio set up in my room is going along with new steps i'm taking.
