You could call today "Compressor Day". Lionel showed me and explained numerous compressor models, both analog and digital. I did not realize before that different compressors are used in different ways throughout a given piece. The tracking, mixing, and mastering stages all require a different approach. With all the different models Lionel has at Trench, I'm confident that in due time I will be comfortable understanding and applying the use of assorted compressors to a piece of music.
