Hey all, it's been a little while since I've come here to put down my thoughts, I have been busy with summer things, started a new gig at a radio station here in Toronto (Indie 88) and working on my personal portfolio website along with a new band and various studio sessions with Lionel. Also, I was pretty much unable to move forward because my pro tools rig took longer than expected but c'est la vie!

Things have been going well in studio despite the recent detour from regular classes. I have been able to sit in on some great sessions with some really talented folks, learning a little bit more as I go along. I am starting to really see the value of this course as the days and weeks unfold. Nevertheless, let me stop my wandering and slip in to something more topical.

It's all about plug-ins this week as I start to navigate my way through the pro tools landscape with a much keener understanding than I have ever had before. I am very excited to learn more about compression, limiting, automation, sidechains, equalization, time based effects etc so that I can start to apply this knowledge to my daily routine. I have written some great new tunes as well so with my advanced knowledge of these plug ins and how they operate I will get to experiment in my demo studio and have a grand ol' time putting in a few hours everyday. Having the pro tools software to play around with will no doubt turn in to a full time job, so look out world, you won't be seeing much of me for awhile!
