During my stay at the studio I got to go over some course material and watch some mixing of various songs from different artists with Shawn. I enjoy mixing and woking on final details, but I want to watch musicians record live right off the floor. I think watching the entire recoding process from scratch may actually help me put together all the pieces of the course I have been reading so far. I mentioned this idea to Shawn and he said we could record some of my original songs with my vocals and guitar. I am so excited! I would be able utilize my skills from my program by recording music as my own project, and it would be my own music and lyrics that I could watch grow and maybe take to the next level of CD or radio! I would love to watch my simple country tracks develop with such detail Shawn adds to others artists work. I am ecstatic at the fact that we could add new instruments like drums and bass to my own work. Maybe if my lyrics were good enough other artist may ask me to write songs for them! The possibilities are endless and this is some of the best news of my life!
