Learned a lot of great things this week and spent a lot of time in the studio getting used to working through a console, instead of just in the software. Being hands on really gave me a better understanding and just another way of learning the functions of effects and balance when working in the box. It is definately a bit different but you are acheiving the same result. I worked a lot on getting great balance in mixes of different types of music as well as applying reverbs and eq to make the tracks really come alive. In addition to school work I sat in on a few hip hop sessions and worked with my mentor through the recording and mixing process.
