My second lesson at Bedside was just as much fun as the first. We were doing guitar overdubbing with The Perpatrators. This entailed setting up the close amp mic and a couple room mics. Close and far. The guitarist was a very talented player so getting through the takes was a breeze and the tunes were great blues/rock sounding songs. Seeing as it was my second lesson I didnt get to actually run any of the gear but a lot more was explained to me about the studios signal flow and pre-amp set up. The patch bay was left for another time as we were busy with tracking. Honestly I spent a lot of time just starring at the 6 rack bays just trying to burn into my brain where things were and what kind of parameters there were so I wouldnt have to scramble later when it counted. I know I wont be in this environment for ever so I need to take in as much as I can, If that means starring at gear, and reasearching the things I dont know during down time when there isnt anything else I could be doing, Ill be doing it. Cant wait for my next time there.
