Recording a song to pitch Posted on 2014-04-09 by David Haro

Yesturday in the studio a gentleman named Josh recorded an acoustic country song to be pitched to a record label in LA to have a female country artist sing. The song was really good and i got to sit in during the session as well as help set up mics. I still have the first few lines of the song stuck in my head. The producer that Josh will give the song to was not named but i was told the producer had 6 Grammys and has worked with some big fish. Aside from that my Mentor Anthony tought me about editing. We started with drums and i used a feature on protools called Beat Detective to quauntize drums. He had me do one full song and it took about 4 hours. It was draining but i had a blast.
