Today mostly consisted of meeting new people and getting to sit in on a project Jesse was engineering for. I started off the session talking with Donny about lessons and what was going on at the studio. I had skimmed most of the manual for the Audient ASP 4816 console in the control room. I got to meet Brandon, a musicial from Alabama, very briefly while there and then Rudy. We talked about musical interests and studios as well as studio equipment. I ate and went back to the control room to sit in on Jesse's session. I also got to meet another student and the clients of Jesse's project. He was tracking for a very short animation. I got to see the live room being used for vocals and saw how Jesse interacted with his clients. I got a feel for the workflow between the clients and engineer. After the session, we all sat and relaxed in the control room for a while and talked. The staff feels like a close-knit family and I definately believe I can learn a lot from all of them.
