This last week was awesome! In the photo to the right is artist Elliot Peiss, sitting in the main control room of Pacific Studios in Tacoma, WA, where i sat in on a drum session for one of his up-coming projects.
It was a late night session that started around 9p.m. and went through to the first 4-5 hours of the early morning. We were all starting to get a little weird by the end; from the early rising that morning plus a full workday, the late night session was like the cherry on top of a burnt cake that had sat in a toilet all day. To say the least we were tired, if that wasn't clear.... Anyway, during the session i got farmiliar with the gear that was there and saw the main mixing board in action (below).
Pacific is a well put-together studio and tho I have been there multiple times, I never get tired of being there; it has a very relaxing and chill vibe to it, which is exactly what every studio needs! Engineering the board was producer and artist Liz Scarlet. In the picture below is Liz and his band mate Shazam Watkins conversing over ideas for the project.
Overall it was a great night and there will continue to be many more to come.
Until next time....
