This lesson helped shed light on how to properly put together a studio and why certain music studios are purposely set up the way they are other than just seeming "artsy". This chapter I learned more about absorbors, reflectors, diffusers, and defractors and well as how angles of the walls affect how sound changes when it's bouncing back and forth. As I was reading the material on the suject, I couldn't help buy thik about how Miller Street studios is setup in comparison to my mothers' studio. I learned that you typically don't want any parellel walls but if you do, like many studios, you can compensate for this by applying absorbing panels and/or a decorative type of panel that will both diffuse and defract sound. Another client walked in but instead of recording a full session, all the client wanted was some quick mixing on a track that was already laid out. and he too even said that I had a great teacher.
