It's taken me FOREVER to get through chapter 6...doing my best to balance everything but sometimes it's a beast! I'm getting great experience at Nitrosonic and absolutely love it and the people I get to work around. We're finally finishing up the gospel album we've been working on...it's been a HUGE challenge for several reasons but I know I'm very much priveleged to have been given the responsibility to work on it myself. It's awesome to be able to apply what mixing experience I've already came into this with to the projects I'm given, while at the same time learning how to record live sessions and to be given the opportunity to run them myself. Ron (my mentor) lets me take over as soon as I get there and usually sits beside me, watching and giving advice when I need it. There have been a few nights (when my schedule permits) where I've stayed at the studio until 12 or 1 a.m. working on something or sitting in on a session that Brian (the owner) is running. So far, being an Intern at Nitrosonic has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life and I feel truly blessed to be there.
