Over the past month I've been able to sit in a few times with the studio owner, Brian, while he Masters. I've done a lot of composing and mixing, but I'm still new at Mastering so I gained a lot from these sessions. There has been an influx of new interns, and I've been able to "tutor" a couple of them which felt pretty good. I've been super busy with everything that I've not had much time to work on my own music. I know that time will come, though. I'm ready to be done with this other school so I can focus on engineering full time. I'm at the studio as often as I can be-right now that means 3-4 days a week for around 20-30 hours. Considering my hectic schedule/life that's pretty good. I learned a lot from Brian and I've been applying what he taught me to the gospel album I'm still working on. I've starting (at least attempting) to master these tracks myself. We'll see how it turns out.
