Lesson #: 16
List one or two paragraphs on what you learned, what did you do?
This week we are trying to make all the last minute recording changes and tweaks so that all we have to worry about from here on out is the mixing and mastering process. Because there are two songs that we are recording – we had to go back through both of them to make the tweaks. There was nothing that was too daunting to correct, just little change ups or additions of adlibs.
Recording process is finally done. Headphones off, time to head back into the control room and depict which takes we want to keep and which ones we want to toss. At this point in time, being picky is the name of the game. However, we all managed to decide on the same take and put them together into a separate track. Time to put it down, let our ears take a break and come back to it at home or another day, but for most of us, we couldn’t wait to get home and start playing around with it.
