I spent my first day at Bedside studios today & it was awesome ! My mentor seems like a really cool guy. We went over quite few things as sort of like an introduction into everything. We discussed what I already know about Pro Tools (which is a lot less than I thought). He showed me a few mixes for a few different songs in different genres. We also talked about the uses of different outboard gear, outboard gear vs. inboard (plugins), the the use of compression and eq's as well as reverb & delays. I find the whole process of automation really interesting and also how to properly bus out tracks and the use of auxiliary sends. I can't wait to learn more. I'm ready & excited to continue this course and become the great Audio Engineer I know I can be !
